Our Team

Originally from Taiwan, Dr. Wendy spent half of her childhood growing up in Bellevue, WA. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Washington, Dr. Wendy went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA in 2010. She completed internships at the VA Hospital in central Alabama, Codman Square Community Health Center in Dorchester, MA, Wenzhou Medical College in Wenzhou, China, and Dr. Richlin, O.D. and Associates in Beverly Hills, CA.

Dr. Wendy enjoys providing primary eye care to patients of all ages. Over the years, she developed special interests in contact lenses and dry eye management. She finds fulfillment in being able to engage and develop relationships with her patients on a personal level. Dr. Wendy is personable and compassionate, and she truly enjoys meeting and helping all her patients.

Dr. Wendy founded Oceanclear Eyecare in 2013 to create a comfortable and relaxing space for her patients to receive excellent care while having a pleasant experience. Her commitment to eye care is a personal passion as she has had to struggle with poor vision her whole life. Dr. Wendy loves the ocean and she is thankful that she can see it clearly through corrected vision. She wishes to pass this gift to others by dedicating herself to optometry as a profession.

Outside of optometry, Dr. Wendy enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two young children. She loves outdoor activities in the sun, especially diving, bodyboarding, paddleboarding, camping, and backpacking.

Dr. Wendy is fluent in Mandarin-Chinese.

Dr. Bernardi was born and raised in Antioch. California. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego, followed by earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 2022.

In his spare time, Dr Bernardi enjoys getting out in nature or exploring the local cafes and restaurants.

Dr. Nguyen spent the majority of her life in Seattle, WA. She graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She moved to California to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from University of California, Berkeley and completed an ocular disease residency at the San Francisco VA Medical Center.

Dr. Nguyen enjoys taking walks at local parks, listening to music and podcast, and spending time with her friends and family.

Dr. Nguyen is also semi fluent in Vietnamese.
